#14. Unilead: Dream Factory, Part II

There were no fireworks tonight, but we are in re-entry phase. What can we do at UUFH? My N is also overwhelming me with speculation on what would Unilead Part II be like. (Possibilities.)

There is frustration in not using what we’ve learned. (I am reminded of the research we did for the NASA Command Structure Study. What it takes for adult satisfaction—the opportunity to learn, the opportunity to use what you know, and the freedom to do it your own way.)

I have a much greater appreciation now for Jo-Ham’s Window—the revealing and the feedback. I feel a need to know the staff individuals better; we haven’t had the time to do this, or I haven’t negotiated the one-to-one time it would take to do this. Also I don’t even know as much about the UUFH members who are here as I would like to.

This suggests the back-home programming of “getting to know you” groups back home—Credo groups, odyssey groups, or whatever? Bit by bit, we could expand our circles of community. But will people have the need sufficient to have the commitment to spend time with each other?—I think so. Family circles, neighborhood groups, centers, the board—all could use getting-to-know-you time in more depth than we do now. We could start with MBTI workshops and have an intentional continuity ongoing from there using credo or similar techniques—

Lois-Ann, I’m sorry you are not here. I think this would work for what you were going to try to do.

Dot, even though we have worked together for these last couple of years, I hardly know you.

And then there is Worship Services. All of us must have personal odysseys that could be worked into worship services, with credo writing as part of the drawing-out process. Again it takes time and commitment.

It would all be founded on Unilead techniques, from group training and building, to effective action. That is my vision for tonight.

Don’t forget the blocks to action.
